소개
Nuclear Medicine is the use of physiologically specific pharmaceuticals complexed with tracer or therapeutic amounts of radioactive nuclides. Nuclear Medicine at Medical School of Chonbuk National University is organized as a department. The Department of Nuclear Medicine at Chonbuk National University Hospital remains one of the best-equipped nuclear medicine services in the Chonbuk area and certainly one of the busiest. We annually perform over 7,200 separate in vivo studies, 42,000 in vitro studies, and 1400 bone densitometry studies. Approximately 99% of the studies performed in the division are diagnostic in nature; the remainder are therapeutic studies, primarily for the treatment of various kinds of thyroid disease.The Department of Nuclear Medicine is located on the basement level of the Building. Three scanning rooms house four imaging devices: two dual head SPECT cameras and two single head cameras. There are two small laboratories, one computer room, and one reading room.
