Lectures also cover the specific diseases of each organ system. The major undergraduate teaching effort of the department of Pediatrics occurs mainly in the second year (4 credits).
Clerkship in Pediatrics
Each student takes a four-week Clerkship at The Chonbuk National University Hospital. Students are responsible for history taking, physical examination, formulation of a diagnosis, student topic reviews, and problem cases conferences. Study and care of patients is augmented by daily lectures or conferences for students, by professor and resident physician rounds, and by attendance at departmental conferences. Formal teaching seminars are scheduled, highlighting various aspects of general pediatrics, as well as its subspecialties (4 credits).
